Ready in its own case
The ball sits safely in a hard case with room for the charging cable, line clips and manual.
Unscrew and charge
The ball splits in two. Inside is the charging port, protected by a rubber seal. Charge it with the USB cable before your trip.
Read the bottom on screen
The app shows depth, bottom and weed in colour. The fish symbols show how deep the fish are.

The supplier shows the ball used in an ice hole, but we have not tested it in the cold ourselves. Keep the ball warm in your pocket until you use it.

The ball has small red clips on the side. Tie on your line and cast it like a float. It floats and sends the picture to your phone.

Questions?
Do I need mobile coverage?
No. The ball creates its own Wi-Fi that your phone connects to, so it works far from anywhere.
How far can I cast it?
The manufacturer states up to 100 m. In a test we have seen, the connection was stable to around 50 m, which is far enough for most casts.
Will I see the fish?
Yes, the app shows fish as symbols with depth. Shoals and fish in mid-water show up well. Single fish close to the bottom can be harder to pick out.
How do I charge it?
Unscrew the ball and connect the included USB cable. Charge it fully before your trip.
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. The app is free on the App Store and Google Play, and it also works on tablets.
Can I use it in winter?
The supplier shows it used for ice fishing, but we have not tested it in the cold ourselves. Batteries do not like cold, so keep the ball warm until you use it.
What if I am not happy?
You have 30 days to return it from the day you receive the parcel.
